Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion Therapy
Acupuncture is a mild treatment supported by the long history of the Chinese
traditional medicine. We use the disposable acupuncture made in Japan. It is sanitary
and safe because it is disposable of every one time. Its thickness is almost the same
as a hair, so there is nearly painless.
Moxa we use is calm warmth. We use moxa made of tansies by placing
to the skin
indirectly. Since moxa warms the body from inside, it’s very useful
to improve the
circulation, especially for having a cold constitution. It also helps
to improve immunity.
The acupuncture and moxibustion therapy deeply affects the autonomic
nervous system
and the immunity system by promoting the blood circulation and loosening
the strained
muscle, and triggering a natural response of body. The acupuncture
and moxibustion
therapy is expected to elicit natural healing capacity and improve
various symptoms.
Theory of Chinese Acupuncture and Moxibustion in GEISYUNDO
Generally, when you hear "Chinese acupuncture", you may think that the needle is
made in China. But the one we are using is made in Japan. The word "Chinese
acupuncture" means not indicate the needle itself, but acupuncture treatment based
on the Chinese theory.
We have two treatment theories of Chinese acupuncture as follows.
■Dialectic Acupuncture Method
There are two kinds of factors that cause physical disorder.
The one is a condition of supranormal excitability in exaggerated response to a
stimulus from inside or outside of the body, such as high fever, pain
or inflammation.
In this case, we use a strong technique like persistent pressure to suppress the
exaggerated response. The other is a case of weak response to the
stimulus such as
chronic debility, weakness both in mind and body, and so on. In this case, we use the
mild technique to encourage the physiological response.
By these methods, imbalance of visceral function will improve and the vital energy and
blood will flow smoothly.
■Meridian Circulation
It is a method to adjust the visceral function and improve the condition
by using
meridian points which most activate corresponding to that time based
on the Chinese
theory of time and medical science.
The feature of Chinese acupuncture moxibustion
Chinese acupuncture has more than 3,000-years history.
It may be no exaggeration to say that the stone or acupuncture is one of two pillars of
medical system in China, along with medicine as the word of “medical
stone" has been
handed down. The Chinese acupuncture has the following excellent features.
・Lasting cure
・Beneficial pain-relieving effect ("Acupuncture anesthesia"
is a typical example)
・Immediate result
These are cases of diseases which had benefit
by using our Chinese acupuncture.
・Parkinson's disease
・Tinnitus and sudden deafness
・Disk slip and lumbago
・Facial paralysis
・Sequelae of cerebral vascular disorder as paralysis of one side of
body,
speech impediment, etc.
・Depilation and alopecia areata

・Migraine
・Obstinate pain
・Other chronic malady
Diseases suitable for acupuncture and moxibustion therapy
Acupuncture and moxibustion therapy benefit for various diseases such as motor organs,
circulatory organs, digestive organs, respiratory organs, internal
secretions, and nervous
systems, etc and WHO (World Health Organization) also indicates about it as the following
list. Especially, it is widely used for the treatment of chronic diseases, intractable disease,
and various painful affections, etc. in the world.
Moreover, Chinese medicine has a concept that treatment of physical disorder which is
less than disease from disorderly internal environment will prevent
a disease from occurring.
We recommend the acupuncture and moxibustion therapy for who is suffering
from various
disorders which factor seems to be stress as a preventive medicine.
